Attachments needing under 25 PTO HP

If your tractor sits under 25 PTO HP (most sub-compact and entry compact tractors), you're limited to attachments specifically engineered for that power range. Pushing a 6-foot rotary cutter behind a 22 HP tractor in tall grass will stall the PTO, lug the engine, and shorten gearbox life.

Below is every PTO-driven attachment in our database with a minimum requirement under 25 PTO HP, plus every non-powered implement (box blades, rear blades, post hole diggers) that doesn't draw PTO power at all.

Always size the implement to your PTO HP, not your engine HP. Hydrostatic transmissions consume 5 to 10 percent of engine power before it ever reaches the PTO shaft.

• Minimum PTO HP is the floor, not the recommendation. Add 5 HP of headroom for tall grass, wet soil, or hilly ground.
• Non-PTO implements (box blades, rear blades) still need adequate 3-point lift capacity. Check the weight column.
• A 5-foot rotary cutter is too much for most tractors under 22 PTO HP in heavy growth. A 4-foot cutter is the safer choice.
