Category II tractors

Category II (Cat II) is the standard 3-point hitch for utility tractors in the 40-100 HP range. Pin diameters are 1-1/8 inch lower and 1 inch top link, with substantially heavier lift arm geometry than Cat I. Kubota MX and M Series, John Deere 4 and 5 Series, Massey Ferguson 4700, and Kioti NX use Cat II.

Cat II tractors handle larger PTO implements (6-8 ft rotary cutters, 7 ft tillers, larger seeders) and have 3-point lift capacities typically in the 2,500-5,000 lb range. Many Cat II tractors also accept Cat I implements with quick-hitch adapters or step-down bushings.
